2022 has been an epic year for Warhammer so far, and there are even more exciting events to pack into the second half of the year. The US Open 2022 series concludes with one of the greatest narrative Warhammer events ever devised, while Organised Play makes a return after two years away, and both Warhammer World and GenCon play host to a bevy of awesome activities.
There’s a lot to get through, so let’s get into it.
The US Open 2022 continues this October in Chicago and Kansas City, and tickets are still available for many of the activities at this year’s final events. Whether you’re winning glory (and a ticket to the Grand Finale) in the Grand Tournaments or attending one of the many classes, seminars, or Warhammer hobby competitions, there’s loads to do at each event for Warhammer enthusiasts of all stripes.
Tickets are on sale now and places are limited, so be sure to book yours before they run out.
There’s also still time to bag yourself a ticket for the incredible, once-in-a-lifetime Narrative Finale in New Mexico, where you’ll embark on three days of intense story-driven action delivered by the Warhammer Events team. Watch out – it’s selling fast.
In-character briefings, emergency broadcasts, and hectic tabletop action are all part of what promises to be one of the greatest Narrative Play events we’ve ever devised, all set among the rolling hills of a pristine New Mexico resort. After a two-year hiatus Organised Play is returning to a tabletop near you, and you can take part when the first Warhammer 40,000 pack arrives in July. Building upon the foundation of the new War Zone Nephilim Grand Tournament Mission Pack, Organised Play is a great way to get your local Warhammer community involved in the new Matched Play season – providing tournament packs and prizes to Warhammer stockists for outstanding generals and impressive painters alike.
Soon after, Organised Play packs for Warhammer Underworlds, Warcry, and Kill Team will also be joining the program – plus, the first ever Warhammer Age of Sigmar pack later this year. Feel free to contact your local store and find out how you can participate.
GenCon is just over a month away – starting on the 4th of August – and Warhammer will be attending in a big way. Games Workshop will be bringing an awesome booth packed with game demos, event-exclusive miniatures, and the best-stocked Forge World store in the United States to get your hands on.
Better yet, Kill Team: Live! returns with an immersive laser tag experience themed around the greatest sci-fi skirmish game around,* while painting classes and hobby demonstrations ensure there’s plenty to do for Warhammer enthusiasts of all skill levels.
Carrying forward to the first weekend of September (Labor Day Weekend in the US), the NOVA Open returns with a bang, promising an epic weekend of gaming and fun in Arlington, Virginia. Grab your tickets to support this amazing event here.
Back at Warhammer World, you can start looking forward to two Warhammer Age of Sigmar events as well as the coveted Blood Bowl Full Beard Cup, which returns for another year of bone-crunching mayhem.
Craft your perfect 2000 point army and battle fellow generals across two days of intense Matched Play action. Rack up victories across five games to be crowned the Warhammer Age of Sigmar champion, and prove your mastery among some of the greatest players around.
Awards aren’t just for the winning generals – immaculately painted armies and more will earn their own accolades (and prizes) over the course of the tournament. Book your place from the 4th of July and play Warhammer Age of Sigmar in the home of Warhammer itself!
Muster your finest team and go for gold in Warhammer World’s premier Blood Bowl tournament, where the greatest coaches from across the land compete under Josef Bugman’s roof to be crowned cup champions.
Whether you’re in it to win it or just want to relax in the brewmaster’s legendary abode, the Full Beard Cup is a Blood Bowl event for the ages.
