Fell deeds awake! It’s time for another reveal for the Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game!
A couple of weeks ago we revealed Helm Hammerhand, Wraith of the Hornberg, so it makes sense this week to unveil one of his bitterest rivals – Freca™, Lord of the West-march.
A hefty and cruel man of Dunlendish heritage, Freca is known across Rohan for his arrogance and his pride. His overriding ambition is to secure the throne of Rohan for his son Wulf.
It’s this vain aspiration that leads him into conflict with Helm.
Despite being a Lord of Rohan, Freca can still call upon his ancestral people in times of war. His Dunlending Heritage rule makes nearby friendly Dunland Warriors fight harder, while his Claim the Throne ability makes him even more powerful if he is in the thick of the fighting when the enemy General is slain.
DUNLENDING HERITAGE
Passive
Though he is a Lord of Rohan, Freca still has Dunlending blood in his veins and his ancestral people will fight for him should he call upon them.
Friendly Dunland Warrior models within 6" of Freca gain a bonus of +1 to their Fight Value.
CLAIM THE THRONE
Passive
Should a path to the throne present itself, Freca will attempt to seize it with both hands, and his followers will fight with redoubled fury.
If the enemy General is removed as a casualty whilst within 6" of Freca, then for the duration of the battle friendly Dunland models treat Freca as a banner with a range of 6".
We’re getting ever closer to the release of The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim™ – Battle of Edoras starter set, which we first revealed on Hobbit Day.
But this is far from the last reveal we’ll have for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game before then. Stay tuned to Warhammer Community for the latest.
