Painters from the Warhammer Community Tackle Kill Team: Termination

Brand new Hernkyn Yaegirs are duelling to the death with Brood Brothers from the Genestealer Cults this weekend, as Kill Team: Termination goes up for pre-order. We’ve given some community painters an advanced trip to the surface of Bheta-Decima, and they’ve been hard at work capturing the warring pioneers and cultists with paint jobs to match their detailed miniatures.

Alison opted for a gloomy monochrome look that matches the Brood Brothers seen in the Warhammer+ series Angels of Death, with only a few dashes of red to break up the greys. Jon and Chrissie both dipped into the bits boxes for some small conversions – replacing heads to spice up their respective kill teams – and Kenny rounds things out with his Yaegirs sporting two Ironkyn.

Andrew, Jessica, Matt, and Paulie also took up the challenge of painting an entire team of miniatures, and returned some stonking results. The Brood Brothers proved popular for big group shots – no doubt due to some subtle suggestion from the Patriarch.

Others focused on just one or two miniatures to really get the most out of Kill Team: Termination, with Juan, Chris, and Brennan all returning stunning singles.

Emma’s distinctive cross-hatch style is hard to miss and really livens up the often-dour Kin, while Jennie, Thor, and Chris all took up Hernkyn longcoats of their own with an excellent trio of rugged Yaegirs.

Not all insidious xenos cults need be drab and restrained with their uniforms, and Knotley has given his entire paint collection a workout with eye-popping examples of the Brood Brothers in a vibrant variety of palettes. No doubt they sourced their uniforms from an Astra Militarum bargain bin of regimental leftovers.

Even the plasma regulators captured the imaginations of our painting chums, with Alison, Matt, Paulie, and Ryan all flexing their weathering chops to give Bheta-Decima’s industrial scenery a real weather-beaten look.

Thanks again to all of the painters who took part in this awesome showcase, including those who we couldn’t quite fit into the article! Start planning your own kill teams now, and you’ll be raring to go once they arrive in just a few weeks. Pre-orders for Kill Team: Termination go live tomorrow.
