Last week the Caster of Runes did what any good Space Wolf should, and thawed the chill on Heresy Thursday with their psychic might,* paving the way for a short series of new miniature reveals from the Age of Darkness. Today another Space Marine Legion steps up to the plate – with the supremely hefty Warsmith.
The Iron Warriors are renowned for their devotion both to building things and smashing other things – the dual arts known as engineering and siegecraft.
The Warsmiths practice these with exceptional efficacy, using their knowledge of defence to design war machines to obliterate even the mightiest of fortifications.
An upgrade to the Legion Cataphractii Praetor, this brute is armed with a stonking great graviton crusher and a combi-grav. His kitted-out suit of Terminator armour even features a servo arm for vehicle repairs, and he will be released with an updated rules PDF to encompass this new arsenal.
There are actually two versions of this miniature available. One is posed stoically observing the battlefield, no doubt surveying his impregnable fortifications before he pulverises them for good. The other is striding purposefully forward, hammer hefted and ready to muck in with the teardown – and this version is going to be exclusively on sale at Warhammer World.
These Iron Warriors Warsmiths are made from Forge World resin and will be available soon. Come back next Thursday for another dose of big-scale heresy.
* Of course, as it’s runes, it’s not really psychic. Is it?
