We’re back with another monthly events article, previewing the official Warhammer events that are coming up later this year. We’re covering events from October and November in this instalment.
It’s almost July, which means the Warhammer Open in Tacoma, Washington is just around the corner. This event will feature a selection of matched play tournaments that qualify their winners for a place at the World Championship of Warhammer. There are still a handful of tickets left to the Thursday evening Spearhead event and the Warhammer Age of Sigmar Grand Tournament – which will both be using the new ruleset.
The US Open Series culminates in a massive double-header event in Atlanta, GA, with both the Grand Narrative and the qualifier-only World Championships of Warhammer.
Warhammer World Events
Announced just yesterday, tickets for the UK side of the Warhammer 40,000 Grand Narrative at Warhammer World are going on sale soon. To take part in this immersive narrative experience you’ll need to bring a 2,000-point Strike Force army and be prepared to battle it out over at least five tense engagements that will help shape part of the official Warhammer 40,000 story.
Command staff will be on hand to keep an eye on heroic deeds and villainous gambits across the weekend, and coming in cosplay is encouraged. Check out yesterday’s post for more information.
This event takes place over three days, from the 22nd to the 24th of November. Tickets are already on sale for the US side of the event.
There are still a handful of tickets available for the Kill Team: Critical Strike III event, the winner of which can qualify for a ticket to the Warhammer World Championships later this year. You’ll play six games over the course of two days, and you’ll need to show off your mastery of all the different killzones to triumph.
This event takes place over the weekend of the 10th and 11th of August.
Few things are as satisfying as the clash of ranked armies on the field of battle, and the Warhammer: The Old World: War & Conquest II event gives you the chance to face off against three likeminded generals in a single-day event. Build a 1,250-point army and show off your strategic skills. There are also awards for sportsmanship and painting, as with all Weekday Warhammer events.
This event takes place on the 17th of October.
Build a team of four and get ready to demonstrate your strategic acumen in the Kill Team: Teams event. You’ll play a series of five games across two days to prove that your team is the best of the bunch. There are awards for best teams, best individual player, and best painted Kill Team, so you’ll have opportunities to flex your skills beyond the tabletop.
This event takes place on the weekend of the 19th and 20th of October.
It’s time to take those touchdown tactics from the drawing board and onto the gridiron with the Full Beard cup. With a budget of 1,200,000 gold pieces you’ll need to construct a team that can take you to the top across five games played over a weekend. There are a whole stack of awards to win including for Favourite Team and Favorite Coach, and you can also choose to take part in the Blood Bowl Pub Quiz on Saturday evening.
This event takes place over the weekend of the 26th and 27th of October.
Swap the pitch for the perilous depths of the dungeons for this one-day Dungeonbowl event. You’ll duke it out over three games to be crowned champion, and you can also pick up awards for Favourite Game, best painted team, and a selection of themed awards for casualties, and opening chests, and more.
This event takes place on the 25th of October.
Further details for all of these events will be available on our Eventbrite page, and tickets will be on sale starting Monday the 1st of July.
