Awesome Warbands Get Us Right in the Mood for the New Organised Play Season of Warhammer Underworlds

If you’ve watched a Warhammer Preview Live or joined our presenters for Hang Out and Paint, you’ll probably have seen Vincent Knotley – the moderator extraordinaire who makes sure devious grots aren’t making a mess of the chat. He’s also a die-hard fanatic for Warhammer Underworlds, and ever since the latest warband for Wyrdhollow was announced during Warhammer Fest, we’ve been ravenous for some wonderfully painted warriors from the Warhammer community.

As ever, Knotley has our back, and just in time too – a new series of Organised Play events for Warhammer Underworlds is on the way, and we have more information below.

His collection of warbands stretches across the history of Warhammer Underworlds, with Spiteclaw’s Swarm representing the original Shadespire season.

More recent arrivals come from the depths of Harrowdeep’s Nethermaze, including Hexbane’s Hunters and the sinister Exiled Dead. Every single one is dripping with the unique character Warhammer Underworlds is known for, shining a light on unexplored corners of the Mortal Realms and the daring adventurers that brave them.

It’s clear that green is a favourite* as many sport a viridescent colour scheme from the usually muted Darkoath Savagers to Morgwaeth’s Blade-coven.

The sheer variety of warbands for Warhammer Underworlds is a big part of the game’s appeal, alongside the exciting fast-paced gameplay. The last season of Organised Play had players battling it out in droves, and the next season is right around the corner.

This pack is themed around the new Warhammer Underworlds: Wyrdhollow expansion, taking warbands deeper into the Gnarlwood than ever before. Each one contains cards to hand out, prizes to be won – including a new one for Best Sport – and a gleaming trophy for the gnarliest player in your local group.
