Terms and Conditions

1.1 To submit a nomination, complete the application form at the Warhammer Heroes article at www.warhammer-community.com/2023/12/19/warhammer-heroes-is-back-submit-your-local-community-champions-today/

1.2 Submissions must be made by a nominator (“Nominator”) on behalf of another person (“Nominee”). Individuals may not nominate themselves.

1.3 Multiple nominations may be submitted.

1.4 Nominees must be, to the best of the Nominator’s knowledge, at least 18 years of age and able to attend a Warhammer Heroes Awards Evening (the “Awards Evening(s)”).

1.5 Nominations must be truthful and accurate, to the best of the Nominator’s knowledge.

1.6 By submitting a nomination, the Nominator agrees and warrants that they have consent to provide the Nominee’s personal information to Games Workshop Limited (“GW”).

1.7 Nominations are accepted worldwide, however, Nominees will need to be able to travel to an Awards Evening if selected.

1.8 All Nominations must be received within the periods advertised by GW from time to time (each a “Nomination Period”).

1.9 GW will not be responsible for any nomination not received due to technical or electronic failure.

Selection

 2.1 GW shall select a number of Nominees who have made a special contribution to the Warhammer hobby and Warhammer community. They will receive an exclusive invitation to attend an Awards Evening.

2.2 GW’s decision on who to invite will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

2.3 GW will contact these Nominees (or the Nominator, if GW does not have the Nominee’s contact details), within 6 weeks of the end of the Nomination Period.

2.4 Should GW be unable to contact a Nominee or the Nominator, GW may at its discretion select another Nominee to attend the Awards Evening.

2.5 Recipients of an invitation must confirm to GW the location of the Awards Evening they wish to attend (either US or UK or any other location as identified by GW in the invitation), and their attendance, within 2 weeks of the date the invitation was sent.

2.6 Invitations to the Awards Evening are not transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered. If an invited Nominee is for any reason unable to attend, GW may at its discretion select another Nominee to attend the Awards Evening.

Attending the Awards Evening

3.1 GW will identify the number and country of Awards Evenings when the invitations are sent out. Number and country of Award Evenings is dependent on number and location of Nominees.

3.2 The Awards Evenings will take place on the dates and at the locations specified in the invitation.

3.3 Each Nominee attending an Awards Evening may bring one (1) person with them. The attendee may bring a child provided they are a parent or guardian of the child; however, attendees will be fully responsible for the care of the child at all times.

3.4 If the Awards Evening is to take place at a larger event, GW will include tickets to that event where event tickets are required for attendance of the Awards Evening.

3.5 Entry to larger events will be subject to any terms and conditions stipulated on those respective tickets.

3.6 GW will provide food and accompanying drinks at the Awards Evenings. No food or drink is to be brought into the venue. GW reserves the right to refuse to serve alcohol at its discretion if it believes attendees to be intoxicated.

3.7 Nominees travelling internationally must have a valid passport and be eligible for international travel at the time of travel. Attendees must pay for their own travel costs.

3.8 GW will provide accommodation (one double or twin room) for attendees for the Awards Evening. Nominees must otherwise arrange their own and their guest’s transport and accommodation (if required) at their own cost. One room will be provided per Nominee. If Nominees require a separate room for their plus one, they must pay for it themselves.

3.9 By attending an Awards Evening, attendees consent to GW taking photographs, video recordings and/or audio recordings for print, electronic and digital promotional purposes.

3.10 Attendees agree that GW can use their name for advertising and promotional purposes. Details of the attendees may be published on GW’s websites and in email newsletters.

Venue

 4.1 Awards Evening details, timings and car park arrangements are subject to change and should be checked prior to travelling.

4.2 GW will make reasonable efforts to cater to any dietary requirements at the Awards Evenings.

4.3 No smoking is permitted at the venue other than in areas designated for smoking.

4.4 Entry to the Awards Evening is at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, GW excludes all liability for loss, damage or injury suffered by an attendee howsoever caused. This exclusion of liability does not apply to death or personal injury caused by the negligence of GW.

4.5 Attendees shall be responsible to GW for any loss or damage to the venue, furnishings or equipment therein caused by the wilful act or default of an attendee.

4.6 GW does not accept any responsibility for personal property brought into the venue.

4.7 GW reserves the right to alter the date, time and/or location of the Awards Evenings at its discretion. Should this occur, GW will make reasonable efforts to communicate any changes promptly.

4.8 GW shall have no liability in connection with any cancellation, alteration or postponement of the Awards Evenings, including but not limited to accommodation and travel costs incurred by attendees and their guests.

Data Protection

 5.1 Any personal data provided to us in connection with this event will be held and processed to administrate Warhammer Heroes and in accordance with our Privacy Policy (https://www.warhammer.com/en-GB/legal#Privacy%20Notice). We may also use that data for administration of, and communication in connection with, these events. By submitting your personal information you understand GW will process your personal data as set out above and you confirm that the information is accurate and complete.

General

 6.1 GW reserves the right to vary any of these Terms and Conditions without notice. In such event, GW will make reasonable efforts to communicate any changes.

6.2 Nominations of GW staff, GW trade accounts/stockists, or any other person connected with the administration of the Awards Evenings will not be considered.

6.3 These rules are governed by the laws of England and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. Participation indicates acceptance of the rules as final and legally binding.
